Melissa McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone have scrapped plans to accept an LGBTQ Ally Award from Outfest in view of the actors strike.

We will miss them, as our closing night will be a wonderful celebration of our community.

But that is not the reason most people are here to come and experience Outfest.

In June, McCarthy was honored as an Ally Icon during West Hollywoods Gay Pride celebration.
