Love Story actor Ryan ONeal died of congestive heart failure, according to his death certificate.
The underlying cause was cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle.
No other cause was listed.

ONeal had been in ill health for some time.
He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2012 and chronic leukemia in 2001.
He died Dec. 8 at age 82.
He also had a long run as a recurring character in the Fox crime dramaBones.
ONeal is buried at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park near UCLA.
